Matthew was suspended last week for a fight with a openly gay student named William. Witnesses claim the two were in a conversation when Matthew yelled... I hate that your such a fag, and punched him in the jaw, no permanent damage. A lot of drama.
Monday Matthew and William the gay student was both suspended after getting caught having sex (butt stuff) in the boy restroom.
Hours later at home...
Dad - Let me see if I understand this. Last week was a fight with your boyfriend and this week was you too making up. Not only is my son gay but he has been lying to me about it. Have I ever met this William?
Matthew - We were on the same football team in sixth grade but not since then. He quit the team.
Dad - Where's your cell phone? You got to have a picture.
Matthew - Let me find one ... here is one of both of us.
Dad - Wow, (giggling) Not what I expected at all. So, how long have you been... you know?
Matthew - Couple months, but dad I just wanted to make sure before I tell the world, especially you. I had to figure this out without you telling me your opinion. If I get this wrong then its on me. I have no one to blame but myself.
Dad - This has nothing to do with you thinking I would be disappointed or pissed off?
Matt - Disappointed because family is important and you want me to have one... Yes... You got to know I wanted to tell you, I came close a few times it just never seemed right. I am gay, and I can't say for sure if I was born that way or William talked me into it. But I love him dad. He is my best friend. We play the same video games, we read the same books.
Dad - You read books? You look like twins except your hair is curly and his is girly... sorry but that's a girls hair cut on a football player.
Matt - It's a 1970's style the same as his dads H S graduating picture. William puts me first before himself everyday, all the time. We play this game who came make the other person happier. He is much better at it then me. We are just nervous about what happens after high school. How to make that work.
Dad - That just might be something I can help with. What do I tell your mother everyday... don't be a drama queen life is hard enough. Sounds like you are falling for someone just like your mother...
Matt - I am not sure if that is good or bad.
Dad - Maybe a lot of love comes with a lot of drama. Opposite sides of the same coin you can't have one without the other.
Matt - Wow dad he is blowing up my phone. Do you mind if I call him?
Dad - Invite him over. We want to meet him. Hell your already ...... have you ever done in a bed? have him spend the night. I will go inform your mother.
Matt - Dad a hug before you go?
Dad - I love you kid and I'm proud of you too.
Matt - Thanks Dad love you back.
